Read this next line and I want you to really let it sink in...
If you hate the process, you won't have results. It's as simple as that.
Every day, millions of people struggle with their health. Whether that's from obesity, a chronic illness, or perhaps even just managing random aches and pains, most people are suffering from symptoms that affect their daily life.
We think of what we "have" to do to.... diet, exercise, meditate... but it all feels like a chore and honestly, who has the time?
I mean, there are things you want to do in life. Maybe that's a good job or find a partner, and while you'd love to focus on that, your health is a constant obstacle that prevents you from living the life you want.
So you know you have to take care of it, but you don't want to deal with the process, and in the end, you end up frustrated.
Sound familiar?
I know it all too well because that's exactly how I felt.
Between feeling isolated and stressed by self care, I didn't want to put the energy into it. I wanted my chronic conditions to disappear so I could focus on what I actually wanted to do...
But that's where I was making a mistake.
I should have been doing the things I wanted to do, giving myself the attention I wanted to receive, and focusing on having fun because that's what would lead to healing.
Once I put my energy into making myself happy, everything else just started to align. The weight started coming off, my health improved dramatically, and I felt a high off happiness that I never knew possible.
By making the journey fun, I had a feeling to build from. We berate and punish ourselves because we think we deserve it, but we're doing more damage than good.
Happiness can only come from happiness, and if you aren't letting any happiness into your life (or feeling guilty for it when you do), how can you ever build the happy life you want?
If you want to feel happy, you have to do things that make you happy.
If you want to feel loved and accepted, you have to love and accept yourself (exactly as you are, right now!)
That's why I created Mindfully Meeting, a holistic hub dedicated to creating healthy and mindful events that make self care FUN!
Enough hating the process.
Enough hating the diet.
Enough hating the gym.
I want you to enjoy every moment of the journey because life is far too short not to!
So, come hang with a cool group of people who are looking to heal their bodies, expand their minds, and explore their souls.
